HORRIBLE! This place BELW ME AWAY .... but, in a HORRIBLE way!!!!!! I am a local from Hammond,La so for my bridal shower I wanted to choose a local bakery. We have heard a lot about this bakery so we figured we would give them a chance on a very important day of my life. My niece got her cake from them a few years ago for a birthday and I remebered it looked good, but that is when I decided I HATED fondant. So, my mother and I went in to design my shower cake. We brought the invitation and left it with them to match it. I thought we made our selves VERY clear that we wanted as little fondant as possible. The girl we were working with said the zebra stripes on the sides and the tub on top would be the only fondant on the cake. Needless to say when we picked it up and got back to the shower location and took it out the box the cake was HORRIBLE!!!! It really looked like a kindergartener did it!!!! Not only was the ENTIRE cake fondant but the fondant was crooked on the top!! Pieces were hanging over on the sides. The tub was supposed to have bubbles flowing out of it and it was simply a tub on a cake with a few white balls here and there. When I called to complain Anthony ("the chef") told me very unprofessionally YELLING into the phone that "I AM THE CHEF AND I DO WHAT I WANTS WITH THE CAKES. I AM NOT GOING TO SEND THEM OUT THE DOOR LOOKING HOW YOU WANT THEM IF I DONT LIKE IT" excuse me?? I am paying for you to make the cake how I ordered it. He proceeded to tell me that the cake I wanted couldn't have been made with out the fondant. Really? You couldn't put icing on the top of the cake it was literally a layer of fondant covering the top of the cake!! MY EXPERIENCE WAS HORRIBLE AND I WILL SPREAD THE WORD TO EVERYONE SO THEY KNOW BEFORE THEY GO AND SPEND THEIR MONEY FOR HIM TO DESIGN THEIR CAKE. Thank god I trusted pastry bag in hammond to do my wedding cake because her work was breath taking!! :)

Anthony is the owner of the Cocoa Bean. He had a lot going on, but he's very good about making time for clients and addressing any questions or issues. Our wedding cake was the most delicious cake in the world. I had white cake and strawberry filling on one tier and chocolate cake with strawberry filling as the second tier. It was wonderful! The cake was beautiful. Anthony and my florist worked well together to decorate the cake with some fresh flowers. The groom's cake was a cookie cake. We were initially just going to go with Great American Cookie Co., but Anthony said they could make one. I'm so glad we went with Cocoa Bean! The cake was much thicker and yummier than GAC's cookie cakes.

I surprised my groom with the Tiger Stadium cake. It was awesome! He loved it. They included our wedding date on the score board. It was probably the best, most moist chocolate cake I've had. I would definitely recommend them!

The Cocoa Bean supplied my wedding cake and my husband's groom's cake. The cake was delicious and delivered on time. The cake was designed just as we specified with no issue. I highly recommend using this company for wedding cakes. It was excellent!

I can't honestly say enough about The Coco Bean! First off the Chef is amazing! He meets personally with you and does a rough sketch to makes sure you get exactly what you want. It doesnt matter the extent of it he will do all he can for you. Also while there he gives you decent size samples of cake so you can taste it. If you want something to eat or drink let him know and its free! Even when you go there to pay for the cake or talk to him or anything. By the way the sweet tea is to die for! The Chef has you leave everything you want on the cake table either with him or at the reception hall because he sets it all up to make sure no one will mess up the cake. I had fresh flowers on my cake and he personally done everything with our cake. Also, lets say you went to him and decieded on one thing but then you saw something else you would like? He allows you to make any and all changes (including a totally different style size decoration or types of cake) up to 2 days before its due.The pricing wasn't bad either. I had a 4 tier cake to feed 200-250 also we had a grooms cake shaped like a fire helmet it was right at 800.00 total we had 0 cake left I didn't even get a piece of it! Like I have said a million times already it was the best part of my whole wedding The Coco Bean definately is the place to go!

Amazing work done by Chef Anthony. He re-created teh military tank my husband used when he served our country in Iraq. Wonderful job. Everyoen loved it! As a matter of a fact, neither him nor I got a tast of it so it must of gone quick! Two thumbs up!

I absolutley loved my wedding cake. I was able to go sit with the baker and design my own cake. It came out beautiful and it tasted amazing!!
