After calling numerous officiants for our New Orleans destination wedding, the moment we talked to Marilyn we knew she was the perfect fit!  Our first impression was that she was warm, kind, and that she really cared.  In fact, she was the only officiant we spoke with that congratulated us on our engagement and impending nuptials.   Marilyn impressed us even more when we met her in person.  She showed up early for the ceremony and was prepared, organized, and efficient.  Though she was open to performing the ceremony according to our own preferences, we were actually glad that she also had several options already prepared for us to choose from.  We actually went with one of her templates and it was amazing.  Her readings were beautiful and she impressed not only us, but our guests as well, with how much she captured our personalities and the vibe of our ceremony with her words.  I am so glad Marilyn was there to officiate our ceremony- she definitely made our special day even more special! Marilyn was so great and we were so happy to have her be our officiant! She was always very quick to respond to e-mails, was very timely on our wedding day and was a wonderful speaker-- and nice as can be!

My wife and I were referred to Marilyn Dennis on very short notice we were in need of someone to officiate our very simple wedding ceremony and she bent over backwards to help us make it perfect. Not only did Marilyn make herself available early on the morning after Christmas but she did it with a weeks notice. She was also willing to preform the ceremony on a public ferry in the middle of the Mississippi river. She not only made this amazing day possible for us but she was kind, genuine and nothing but positive. We would recommend her to anyone.

Marilyn Dennis was the officiant at our wedding in New Orleans last November. I cannot begin to tell you how kind, efficent, and professional Marilyn is. We wanted our wedding to be sweet & simple, and Marilyn did just that plus adding a beautiful touch of elegance that made us both feel very special. We arrived in New Orleans on Saturday, Nov. 26th at 3:00pm, our ceremony was scheduled for 4:00pm. I still had to order flowers and get them delivered to the hotel, our ceremony was going to be outdoors and it had began to rain in torrents! I contacted Marilyn she suggested we move the time back an hour in order for me to have time to relocate the venue inside the hotel and still have time to actually get dressed! Whew!! That was a day! Marilyn could not have been more accomadating or kind. I left that experience having gained a new found friend in Marilyn. Professional? You bet! Yet she makes you feel like a bride should feel on her wedding day...special! Thank you Marilyn for helping me pull it all off and still be able to enjoy my wedding!!

Marilyn was the officiant for my wedding. She has a genuine spirit, was easy to get in contact with and was very professional. I would recommend her to anyone having a destination wedding in the New Orleans area or eloping. She encorporated all our desires into our religious ceremony. Thanks Marilyn!

Marilyn was so wonderful to work with . She allowed my fiance and I to incorporate our catholic/spiritual/religious views into our ceremony; and allowed us to use non-traditional vows, that were sentimental to us. She was very friendly and we felt we had known her for years. She drove to NOLA to officiate our wedding, provided input to help us and counseled/prayed with and for us. we would definitely recommend using Marilyn to anyone.

Mrs. Dennis was a god send. I only met with her once before the wedding at the rehearsal and we went over the last minute details and the ceremony was really nice. We were eloping in New Orleans, and I didn't know who would officiate our wedding. I was referred to Marilyn by a minister I contacted online. Marilyn instantly emailed me and we spoke on the phone the following day. I instantly felt as if Marilyn was an old friend, and her kindness and enthusiasm was genuine. She helped me find the perfect location in City Park for our wedding, away from the hustle and bustle. Two minutes before arriving, there was a tremendous thunderstorm, but Marilyn found a beautiful stone structure with a roof. Her husband held the umbrella over my head while it rained down on his! It was a very comfortable, very light, very intimate, very personal wedding. We were smiling throughout, and her words were beautiful. Although the weather didn't help us capture great photos, the ceremony was exactly what I wanted. I wouldn't change a thing. THank you, Marilyn. These are the type of memories we should have in life.

Marilyn performed my wedding ceremony in the July heat in Audubon Park! Because my husband and I were from out of town, the only contact we had with her was through e-mail, so I was a little nervous that we wouldn't click. However, once we met, I loved her instantly, and the ceremony was perfect. She was exactly what I wanted.
